 Fantac Furniture sources wood from a variety of suppliers, including local and international timber traders, ( iqbal
town and ghazi road) and ( europre/ america) for ash wood
 No in house seasoning
 Wood is received in the form of blocks through markets
 Sourcing of wood is independent in lahore and qatar
 Fantac Furniture maintains a carefully managed inventory of wood, hardware, and other materials to ensure that it
can meet customer demand.
 The company uses a just-in-time (JIT) inventory system, which means that it only orders materials when it needs
them for production.
 This helps Fantac Furniture to reduce its inventory costs and improve its cash flow.

Job design
 Design Phase: CAD workers create designs and send them to the production department for costing
 Production Department:
 Sawmill workers cut the wood according to the required size and finish
 Machine operators operate shaper, CNC, and pressing machines
 Polishers polish the prepared materials
 Quality control inspectors ensure the size, quality, and final packing of the ready-to-dispatch product
 Dispatch and Delivery:
 Product is dispatched to the customer's location
 Sales force fixes the furniture and resolves any queries or issues
 Kitchen, Wardrobe, and Door Production:
 Separate department for designing and producing kitchens, wardrobes, and doors
 Production Automation:
 CNC routers, squindal machines, and edge banding machines used to create precise and consistent cuts
 Skilled Artisan Handcraft: (carpenter)
 Skilled artisans who handcraft certain furniture pieces, such as intricate carvings and inlays mainly assemble the furniture
