 Situation of the family

• A married couple decide to buy a secluded old house in Harrisville

at Rhode Island, in united states.
• This is the perfect place for them and their 5 daughters.
 How it starts

• In 1971, the first phenomena appeared

• They heard strange noises in the kitchen and objects were moving.
The girls saw the spirits in the house.
• A little boy who is in contact with the youngest girl
• Another spirit which is in contact with the other girls.
• Pictures on the wall all inexplicably fell.
• Their beds moved,chairs slid across the floors
• pull girls' legs and hair when they sleep and slam bedroom doors.
 The possesion

• A very bad spirit gripped the mother and threatened to kill her if
she did not leave.
• Lauraine felt a dark demonic presence and said her name was
Batsheba.
• She was a woman suspected of witchcraft, murdered her baby for
Satan in the 1800s and hanged herself to a tree behind the house
• One evening, the mother was possessed by Batsheba. A priest did
an exorcism to cast out the demon
• The Warrens' intervention was unsuccessful and the family was left
in pain for 10 years.
