May / Might

May and Might
‘May’ and ‘Might’ are used to talk about action
that is possible now or in the future.

However, ‘may’ and ‘might’ have a little


difference.
Look at these sentences.
• It may rain. (70% chance)
• It might rain. (40% chance)

‘May’ and ‘might’ could be the same,


but ‘might’ can be used when you’re
not certain of the idea you speak.

So, ‘might’ is less likely to be


done/happened rather than ‘may’.
Here are some examples.

• We may go to the park today, the weather


is nice.
• We might go to the park today, it’s a little
cloudy.
Note: In Super Minds 6, we are not focusing on the difference
between May and Might, we focus on the form of the sentence.
The Pattern: May/Might form (+)
• I may / might go to Japan to study Japanese.
