ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS, BUDGET

AND WORK PLAN


• Our study employs the cross-sectional retrospective study design
which poses minimal risk to participants because the collection
of data is from patients’ medical records
• However, we still take into account the following considerations:
• Patient confidentiality:
-Information containing identity of the patients such as names and medical record numbers
will be removed from the data collection forms.
• Informed consent:
-Since this is a retrospective review, it’s not possible to obtain the consent of the patients. However,
we shall abide to the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki on the importance of respecting
the rights and dignity of research participants.
