DEFINITION
The study and systematic recording of human cultures, also: a
desciptive work produced from such research (Merriam-
Webster, 2012).

A systematic study of particular cultural group or phenomenon,


based upon extensive fieldwork in one or more selected locales
(Reimer, 2011)
