Emetics

 Emetics are drugs that induces vomiting and are generally used in Cases of
poisoning.
 Emetic drugs shows its action either by stimulating CTZ or by irritating the
gastric mucosa.
Anti- Emetics

 They are drugs that are used to prevent or Relieve from nausea or vomiting.
 Antiemetic shows their action by directly acting upon following mechanism.
1. Acting directly on vomiting center
2. Acting on CTZ
3. Acting peripheraly.
