on a set of data.
A set of business data pertains to information about the

its income and expenses. These Information, of course,
must be gathered and presented with accuracy, and must be
kept for future purposes.

➢ records of commercial transactions

➢ records of stakeholder interactions

➢ data collected from social media source

➢ knowledge accumulated by and from the employees and partners

From our previous lesson, we defined chart or graph as a visual
representation of data which is considered brief and comprehensive.
Now, it is very important that we choose appropriately the chart or
graph that we are going to utilize to present a set of busines data
because it contributes to the relevance, presentability, and
comprehensiveness of the business data itself.
How do you choose what chart or graph to use for a set of business
data?

Some business data are qualitative (i.e. expressed as non-quanitifiable qualities such
as name, gender, educational attainment, position, etc.). But for quantitative data, the
most effective way of determining what type of chart to use is by purpose. Meaning,
you are going to ask yourself: What do I want to do with the set of business data?

these three as mentioned in the previous lesson
✓ If your purpose is to show continuity of data, use line chart. Line chart is

timeline.

✓ If your purpose is to show data as components of a whole, use pie chart.

Using pie chart allows you to see what percentage a data is as part of the whole. As
extension, you get to see which among data contributes the most
or the least.

✓ If your purpose is to compare data, use bar graph. Aside from this, bar
