PARALLEL LINES MEET

Never limit the capability of parallel lines

A line (straight line) can be thought of as a
connected set of infinitely many points. It extends
infinitely far in two opposite directions. A line has
infinite length, zero width, and zero height. Any two
points on the line name it. However, line is not just
limited into a Euclidean plane.
According to Palash Giopara an IB Students who
study Mathematics and Physics in Dubai. Non
euclidean geometry studies non Euclidean or non
planar surfaces. Consider the Earth, and assume it’s
spherical. The earth has several longitudes that all
meet at the north and South Pole. These lines are
parallel.
To better understand this one must understand
what a geodesic is. A geodesic is a curve along which
a tangent vector can be transported such that it
remains parallel to its initial state. In planar,
Euclidean space, geodesics remain parallel.
However, in a non Euclidean space, these parallel
lines start to approach each other or move away
from each other. In the case of longitudes, as we
approach the poles, the geodesics approach each
other, until they finally meet at the poles.
To be completely honest, the fact that parallel lines
can meet is one of the fundamental principles upon
which all of non Euclidean geometry is based. It is
the one postulate that differs from the 5 postulates
of Euclidean geometry.
Seeing that it is the basis for non Euclidean
geometry, any argument or explanation I employ
would in fact be circular.
If the equidistant longitudinal lines of the globe meet at the North and South
Pole then parallel lines meet. The equidistant longitudinal lines meet at North
and South Pole. Therefore, parallel lines meet.

The straight ray of light meets at the point of refraction in a prism and the straight ray
of light has a parallel height. If the straight ray of light meets at the point of refraction
