Questions
Q1. What does the water inside the
jar represent?

• The water inside the jar

represents the blood.
Q2. How will you compare the Heart pump
model and the Human Heart?

• Both the Human Heart and

the Heart model pumps
blood/water.
Q3. How does the Heart function
as a pump?
• The Heart acts as a pump that pumps
blood all through out the Human
Body. When the heart pumps, the
blood travels to the valve, letting the
blood flow.
Q4. Will the Heart Model be able to function properly if
the straw is blocked? Explain your answer.

• The heart will not function if both of the straws is

blocked. Because, there will be no way for the
water/blood to get out of the jar/heart. In contrast, if only
one of the straws is blocked, the water will get out of the
other straws.
Conclusion
The Heart acts as a pump in order to pump
the blood all through put the body. As the
heart pumps, the pressure increases and the
particles flow to the tubes of the heart along
