Research methodology
• The study is based on quantitative research.
• This is descriptive research design.
• The sample size is 100 students in Pokhara.
• Data is collected from both primary and secondary sources.
• Primary data is collected through Questionnaire.
• The books, journals and articles were taken as secondary data.
• The data is presented in formal tables, charts and bar diagrams.
Major Findings
• Young people of age between 20-24 years old better know about
organic food and its impact.
• About 25% respondents don’t purchase organic foods and majority of
respondents i.e.75% purchase organic foods.
• From the survey respondents feel that organic food tastes better than
non organic food.
• Scientific evidences prove that organic foods are healthier.
Conclusion
From this study it is found that people prefer organic foods than non-
organic foods among selected samples. In most conditions due to the
lack of organic foods at an affective price some prefer non-organic
foods even if they have knowledge about organic foods. Hence if
organic food is easily available in the market at a reasonable price
people would better consume it.
