 Speaking Exam
- You’ll be working in the pairs that you’re sitting in
- Each pair will be assigned a specific job - no groups will do the same!!
- One person will be the employer and the other will be a new employee
- The new employee will ask the employer questions using Modal Verbs of Permission
- Both of you need to write down the roleplay

- We will make the role plays longer by adding a second conversation.

- In the same pairs the new employee explain the conversation they had with the employer to a friend
- Make sure to use May/Let

- You will also have to write 5 questions about your role-play for your classmates to answer.

- Employee: Could I use the copy machine?
- Employer: Yes, you can use the copy machine for anything work related

- Employee: Can I take a vacation in May to go on holiday with my family?

- Employer: No, you may not take a holiday in May, it is when we are busiest.

- Employee: May I work at the desk next to the window?

- Employer: Yes, you can take that desk instead of the one next to the wall.

- Employee: Can you please tell me the hours I need to work during the week?
- Employer: You must work Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm.

- Employee: If I buy equipment for work can you reimburse me?

- Employer: We can reimburse you for things that are on the approved list.
