Final Project Proposal

ENGLISL LEVEL 000

Q. 1/ 2020-2021

For the FP, students have to present in pairs. One student plays the interviewer or the interlocutor and the
other student plays the job. All interviews should begin with this introduction:
Hello. Welcome to the interview.
What’s your name?
Where do you live?
How old are you?
What do you do? OR What’s your job?
After the 4th question, students may develop as many questions as they wish. (Note. The interviewer has to
vary the questions using QWs from the box below).

‘How much…?’
‘What kind ….?’
‘How long…?’
‘How many….?’
‘Why….?’
‘Who ……?’
‘When ……?’
‘What time….?’
‘Where….?’
Note. The interview can ask 2-3 YN Questions during the interview.
It is very important that the questions flow smoothly and coherently. And it is very important for the
interviewee to respond with at least 2-3 sentences: (response + comment)!
Here is a list of 50 jobs that students can choose from.

A nurse A doctor An engineer A teacher A shop assistant

A taxi driver A bus driver A singer A cook A chef
A police officer An athlete A writer An accountant A bank manager
A film star An actor/ an actress A pilot A lifesaver A musician
An interpreter A flight attendant An architect A journalist A reporter
An undertaker A tour guide A postman A welder A farmer
A chemist A real estate agent An inventor A travel agent A song writer
A judge A fashion designer A lawyer A waiter A receptionist
A babysitter An artist A builder A blacksmith A carpenter
An editor A secretary A newsagent A businessman A shoe maker
The teacher makes sure no two pairs have selected the same job twice. Likewise, the teacher should obtain
a final agreement from the students as who is going to play what role.
The teacher needs to monitor the development of the interview and provide guidance whenever possible.
The interview is 5 to 10 minutes. The interviewer and the interviewee are graded individually not
holistically.
This table helps organize the students in pairs. It also helps to avoid repetition of job selection.
The first two rows are examples.
