Introduction
• Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is a composite material made by incorporating fibers into concrete to enhance its properties and
performance.
• The use of industrial waste materials as fibers in FRC has gained significant attention in recent years due to the increasing
demand for sustainable and eco-friendly construction practices.
• Industrial waste materials, such as steel slag, fly ash, and glass, can be used as fibers in FRC, providing multiple benefits.
• For example, using steel slag as fibers reduces the amount of waste generated from steel production, while incorporating fly ash
into concrete helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired power plants.
• Additionally, using industrial waste as fibers can improve the mechanical properties of concrete, such as its tensile strength and
ductility, making it more durable and resistant to cracking and failure.
• Overall, the use of industrial waste materials in FRC represents a promising solution for sustainable construction, as it not only

helps to reduce waste but also enhances the performance of concrete .

OBJECTIVES
Metal Lathe waste has been added for strength enhancement.
Incorporating industrial waste as FRC material, it can improves the mechanical properties, such as tensile strength and ductility,
making the concrete more durable and resistant to cracking and failure.
By utilizing industrial waste as fibers in FRC, the amount of waste generated from industrial processes can be reduced and
diverted from landfills
The use of industrial waste materials as fibers in FRC can be cost-effective, as these materials are often readily available and do
not require the extraction and processing of raw materials
Experimentally describes the mechanical properties of specimen.

extruded from recycled PET bottle flakes with different
mechanical properties and profiles. On considering a
volumetric fiber dosage at 1%, we observe marked
improvements in thermal resistance, mechanical strengths and
ductility of RPETFRC, as compared to plain concrete
