3D SOLID SHAPE

BY ADITH SN 7B
RECTANGULAR PRISM
A rectangular prism is a three-dimensional
shape, that has six faces (two at the top
and bottom and four are lateral faces). All
the faces of the prism are rectangular in
shape. Hence, there are three pairs of
identical faces here. Due to its shape, a
rectangular prism is also called a cuboid.
It has 6 facees
It has 12 edges
And 8 vertices
SPHERE
A sphere is a geometrical object that is a
three-dimensional analogue to a two-
dimensional circle. Formally, a sphere is
the set of points that are all at the same
distance r from a given point in three-
dimensional space. That given point is the
center of the sphere, and r is the sphere's
radius.
CYLINDER SHAPE
A cylinder has traditionally been a
three-dimensional solid, one of the
most basic of curvilinear geometric
shapes. In elementary geometry, it is
considered a prism with a circle as its
base. A cylinder may also be defined
as an infinite curvilinear surface in
various modern branches of geometry
and topology. Therefore, in a cylinder,
there will be three faces and two edges,
and zero vertices.
CONE
A cone is a three-dimensional
geometric shape that tapers smoothly
from a flat base to a point called the
apex or vertex. A cone is formed by a
set of line segments, half-lines, or
lines connecting a common point, the
apex, to all of the points on a base that
is in a plane that does not contain the
apex. Cone has 2 face(1 flat face and 1
curved face), 1 curved edge and 1 vertex.
PYRAMID
In geometry, a pyramid is a polyhedron
formed by connecting a polygonal base
and a point, called the apex. Each base
edge and apex form a triangle, called a
lateral face. It is a conic solid with a
polygonal base. Many types of pyramids
can be found by determining the shape of
bases, or cutting off the apex.
