INTRODUCTION

• Management means efficiently getting activities done with and through


other people. The management process includes planning, organizing, staffing,
directing and controlling activities that takes place to accomplish organizational
vision and mission.
• Human resource management is concerned with the “people” dimension in
management process.
• Recently, there is a great demand started for Horticulture Industry in India, 25
years ago there was a green revolution because of the increased population by that
time and now the population is gradually in increasing stage and there is a need to
bring the second green revolution.
NEED OF THE STUDY

1. The present study had been undertaken to impart the skills in employee with job requirements and
organization needs.

2. This study will help to know the T&D policies and procedures in ITC.

3. To know the development programmes in ITC.

4. To know whether the employees are satisfied with the training and development procedures.

5. To know how to improve the technical skills and knowledge of the employees.
6. To understand the rapid technological changes in the ITC.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

• To present a theoretical frame work relating to training and development programmes.

• To assess and analyze the training and development programmes in ITC.

• To determine whether the training programmes are fulfilling the objectives of the management.

• To identify how this training and development program effectiveness with the working environment
of ITC.
• To make necessary suggestions to bring about meaningful relationship between training and
development efforts and efficiency of ITC ltd.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The following is the methodology of the study. The collection of data is done in two principal sources.
They are the following

• Primary data

• Secondary data

Primary data:

The primary data needed for the study is gathered through interview with concerned officers and staff, either
individually or collectively. Some of the information has been or supplemented with personal conduct.

Sources:

a. Questionnaire.
Secondary data:

The secondary data needed for the study was collected from published sources such as
pamphlets of annul reports, returns and internal books, reference from text book, stores records, Co
website, other website and journals of financial management.

Sources:

b. Text books

c. Past data
Research Approach:

In this researcher goes to the respondents with questionnaire clarifies any doubts raised by
the respondents and notes the responses. This is of the form of personal interviewing of the
respondents.

Sampling plan:

The precision and accuracy of survey results are affected by the manner in which the sample
has been chosen. A sampling plan calls for three decisions.

Sampling Method: Convenience method.

Sample units: Workers of ITC, Hyderabad

Sample size: The sample size is 120.

Data Analysis:
The data is analyzed with the help of the tables, graphs, charts, percentages, weighted
average method.

From the above table it can be observed that 11(9%) of the respondents are below25 age
group, 57(47%) of the respondents are 26-45 age group,33(28%) of the respondents are 36-45 age
group ,19(16%) of the respondents are above 45 age group.

From the above table it can be noticed that 87(72%) of the respondents are males and
33(28%) of the respondents are females.

FINDINGS OF THE STUDY

 Majority of respondents are in age group of 26 to35.

 Large numbers of respondents are male.

 Most of the respondents are having qualification more than degree

 A good number of respondents are having annual income of 1,20,000 to 1,50,000.

 Majority of respondents are in middle level designation.

 From the above study it is found that most of the employees are below 3 years of experience
 From the above study it is observed that training and development programmes are provided
annually.

 It is observed that the company provides study material for Training and Development Programmes.

 The employees having different expectations towards Training and Development programmes like
improving skills, knowledge and abilities.

 The Training and Development offered by Organization is helpful to current and future projects.
 The performance of the employees is improved after providing Training and Development
programmes.
SUGGESTIONS

 From the above finding it is suggested the company to have more number of experienced employees.

 The organization is going to provide Training and Development programmes on annual basis, it is to be
maintained same.

 The organization provide study material, it is to be maintained same.

 The Training and Development programmes is going to meet the expectations of employees so it is to be
maintained same.

 The Training and Development provided by the organization are very good and it is improve the performance of
employees, so it is to be maintained same.
• Some employees dissatisfied because of training and development programs is not conducted based
on employee feasibility, through this they loss best performance from employees.

• The methods imparted in Training and Development programmes are good and able to achieve
objectives, so it is to be maintained same.

• Most of the employees are satisfied by the Training and Development programmes and trainer too,
so it is to be maintained same.

• Less number of employees offered re training programmes, it shows Training and Development
programmes are effective, so it is to be maintained same.

• It is suggested that training manager must take care about the employees who told training program
is above average and average they are not get benefits from the training programs.
CONCLUSION

• The concept of Training and Development plays an important role in improving the
productivity and morale of the employees. The Training and Development programmes should be
frequently organized to cope up with the changing expectations of the different stakeholders in the
society.
• Based on analysis the ITC is a very good organization which provides excellent training to their
human assets and also achieving productivity in quality standards. Employers are always interacting
with their employees.
• The ITC is in a good position moreover company has good knowledgeable and skillful employees
to implement new ideas.
