Balancing chemical

equations
Reactants
NaOH+H2SO4-> Na2SO4+H2O

Reactants are substances that are in the left part of the equation. To
react, reactants need to collide, collide in the correct orientation, and
have activation energy. Reactants react with each other and create
products.
Products
NaOH+H2SO4->Na2SO4+H2O

Products are the substances that are the result of the reaction.
In a chemical equation, there has to be equal
amounts of reactants and products
2NaOH+H2SO4- >Na2SO4+H2O In a reaction, we can never lose mass
or energy. There have to be equal moles of the same substance in a
reaction. To balance this, we can change the coefficients of substances.
In our case, we have one mole of sodium as reactant and two as
product. We can change the coefficient of sodium hydroxide to balance
it.
