DEFINITION OF ATTITUDE
• Attitude is a negative or positive
evaluation of an object which influences
human’s behaviour towards that object.

• Attitude is how one behaves towards


somebody or something. It is one’s
personal view, opinion or judgement. It
also describes one’s general emotional
approach towards a person or situation.
COMPONENTS OF ATTITUDE
• Cognitive component : It refers to the beliefs, thoughts, and
attributes that we would associate with an object.

• Affective component : It consists of emotions and feelings towards


an object.

• Behavioural component : It is the tendency to behave in a


particular way towards an object.
TYPES OF ATTITUDE
• Positive attitude : A positive attitude means having an
optimistic outlook.

• Negative attitude : Negative attitude comes from thinking


negative thoughts again and again.
IMPORTANCE OF HAVING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE

• It helps you achieve goals and attain


success.
• It can bring more joy and happiness
into your life.
• It increases your confidence in your
abilities.
• It helps in overcoming obstacles.
• It enhances your motivation.
