PRESERVATION
As part of the democratic thrust of the
Corazon Aquino administration, Executive
Order No. 118 created the Presidential
Commission on Culture and the Arts
(PCCA) in 1987.
Five years later, Republic Act 7356
established the National Commission for
Culture and the Arts (NCCA)
The NCCA logo is the Alab ng Haraya (The
Flame of Imagination), which symbolizes
the spring of Filipino art and culture.
It is composed of two basic elements – the
fire and the censer.
1. The fire is a stylized character "ka" of the
Philippine indigenous script Baybayin, that
stands for kadakilaan or greatness.
The fire represents the highest level of
imagination and emanates from a three-
tiered censer.
2. The three tiers stand for organization,
economic support, and an orientation rooted
on a thorough grasp of tradition and history,
which the NCCA provides.
It is done in gold to symbolize the immense
wealth of Philippine culture.

5.Ani ng Dangal (Harvest of Honors) is a state recognition given by the National
Commission for Culture and the Arts under the Office of the President of the
Republic of the Philippines.
It is an annual event in the Philippines celebrated as a highlight and concluding rite
of the Philippine Arts Festival. Ani ng Dangal Awards or Harvest of Honors is an
annual event celebrated as the highlight and concluding rite of the National Arts
Month.
Ani ng Dangal Ani ng Dangal Awards, through the NCCA’s Subcommission on the Arts headed by
its commissioner Dr. Rolando B. Tolentino, recognizes artists who have earned
(Harvest of highest international awards and accolades in nine (9) categories: Architecture,
Cinema, Dance, Dramatic Arts, Literary Arts, Music, Visual Arts, Folk Arts and

country’s premier repository of printed and recorded materials which
reflect the intellectual, literary and cultural heritage of the Philippines as

While acquiring and maintaining a comprehensive national collection of
THE PHILIPPINES library resources, the NLP promotes access to these research and
information materials and makes them available for the use of the
present and future generations of Filipinos.
The NLP aims to acquire and preserve all Filipiniana materials; provide
national and international bibliographic services; organize, supervise
and develop the public libraries and information centers throughout the
country; and provide information, reference, and research resources to
the public.

5. NATIONAL ARCHIVES 5. The National Archives of the Philippines (Pambansang
OF THE PHILIPPINES Sinupan ng Pilipinas) is the official repository of the
nation’s permanent records and records of archival and
historical value.
It is mandated to plan, develop and coordinate
government-wide programs, policies, rules, and
regulations governing the use, storage and disposition of
current and non-current records as well as to render
assistance to government agencies for the retrieval of vital
documents.

The Order of with three stylized letter Ks--- the “KKK” stands for the
CCP’s motto: “katotohanan, kabutihan, at kagandahan (the
National Artists true, the good and the beautiful), as coined by the first lady
Imelda Romualdez Marcos , the CCP’s founder.
The composition of the Grand Collar is silver gilt bronze. In
place of a rosette there is an enameled pin in the form of the
insignia of the order.
