Modulation Index

The modulation index, in short terms, refers to a parameter used to describe the
extent of modulation in a signal. Modulation is the process of varying a carrier
wave's properties in accordance with the information signal.

Percentage Modulation

Percentage modulation is a measure used in amplitude modulation (AM) to

quantify the extent of modulation imposed on a carrier wave by a modulating
signal. It represents the ratio of the modulation depth to the carrier wave
amplitude, expressed as a percentage.
Formulas

M = m x 100
M = x 100
