    In a vernier calliper 10 VSD is equal to 9 MSD and 1cm on Main scale is
    divided into 10 parts while measuring the length of a rod the zero of a
    vernier scale is just ahead of 1.8cm mark and 4th divison of vernier scale
    concides with MSD. The length of the rod is -
