• BharatPe :
• Introduction:
■ BharatPe was started in 2018 with the mission to
build a holistic FinTech platform for merchants and
small businesses. The idea was to extend a robust
financing ecosystem that could be leveraged by the
merchants and help in scripting the economic growth
of the country.
• Founding Team :

Ashneer Grover Shashvat Nakrani

• What Makes BharatPe Unique ?

■ Unified QR Code: BharatPe offers a single QR

code compatible with over ten UPI (Unified
Payments Interface) apps, enabling merchants to
accept payments from multiple apps without
having to maintain separate QR codes. This
simplifies and streamlines the payment process for
merchants and customers alike.
• BharatPe Marketing Strategies :

■ The consumer is the buyer (generally a youth)

and the customer is the QR Code which acts as a
support system. So the platform had to target two
different entities and had to provide cashback to
two different entities. Whereas, for BharatPe its
customers were its consumers.
• Competitors :

wallet for individuals, offering

transactions. NPCI, on the other hand,
is a government-backed organization
responsible for overseeing and
operating India’s retail payment
systems, including UPI and RuPay
cards. While BharatPe focuses on
merchant services, NPCI plays a
broader role in regulating and
facilitating digital transactions across
the country.
• Do People Use BharatPe ?

■ BharatPe is one of the most widely used digital

wallets in India. Over 7.5 million people use
BharatPe to make payments, send money, and
store their money securely. BharatPe is accepted
by millions of merchants across India, making it
one of the country’s most widely accepted digital
wallets.
• Conclusion :
BharatPe has a unique business model. Which makes it stand out
from other digital payment platforms. They provide innovative
and unique products and services to their customers.
■ At present they have over 1 million merchants, who use the
