DANGEROUS DRUGS
These are substances that can cause harm to your body
and mind if you use them. These substances can include
both legal drugs like alcohol and prescription medications,
as well as illegal drugs like cocaine, heroin, and
methamphetamine. They can have various effects on your
body, such as making you feel high or altering your mood,
but they can also lead to addiction, health problems, and
even death if misused.
MARIJUANA Marijuana, also known as weed or pot,
is a plant that people smoke or eat to
feel relaxed or happy. It can also make
things seem more interesting or funny.
Some people use it for medical
reasons, but it can also cause problems
like memory issues and difficulty
thinking clearly if used too much.
COCAINE Cocaine is a white powder that makes
people feel super energetic and
confident for a short time. It's illegal
and can be very addictive. Using
cocaine can be dangerous because it
can make your heart beat too fast and
even cause a heart attack or stroke.
ALCOHOL Alcohol is a drink that many adults
enjoy, like beer, wine, or liquor. It can
make people feel relaxed or happy, but
drinking too much can lead to
accidents, health problems, and
addiction.
DEPRESSANTS Depressants are drugs that slow down
your brain and body. They can make
you feel calm or sleepy, but they're
also dangerous because they can slow
down your breathing and heart rate too
much, leading to overdose and death.
AMPHETAMINES Amphetamines are drugs that speed up
your brain and body. They can make
you feel alert and energetic, but they're
addictive and can cause heart problems
and paranoia if used too much.
HEROIN AND OTHER
Heroin and other opiates are strong
OPIATES
painkillers that can make you feel
relaxed and numb. They're highly
addictive and can cause breathing
problems, overdose, and death.
INHALANTS Inhalants are chemicals that people
breathe in to get high. They can
include things like glue, paint thinner,
or gasoline. They're dangerous because
they can damage your brain and other
organs and even cause sudden death.
HALLUCINOGENS Hallucinogens are drugs that change
the way you see and hear things. They
can make you see things that aren't
there or feel like you're in a dream.
They're risky because they can cause
panic attacks and make it hard to tell
what's real.
