ECONOMIC OUTLOOK

 The rise in fuel prices has pushed the food prices up. This will mean there are
opportunities for R and D in SA to research high yields at low cost we can use
this then to kick start funding for our academy. Research new cultivars as well
 The anticipated growth in Agric exports in SA is likely to put a pressure on
the logistics sector from handling facilities to transport and again this is
something we can jump on hence the need of having subsidiary companies our
Log department can expand and have a fleet to facilitate the movement of
commodities in an effective and cost effective way between SA provinces and
also for export.

POLITICAL OVERVIEW

 Political changes in the country have led to volatility in the agric sector.
 The recent land reform program and land grabs provides an opportunity for
DICLA to capitalize since there is a need for training and also land can be
available to seasoned farmers like DICLA.
 In general the execution of the land reform has been poor and we can act as
advisors to the government, mentors as well as trainers for the emerging
farmers
 In 2020 the minister of Agric announced that over 700 000 ha of unutilized
state land will be given to emerging farmers
SOCIO- ECONOMIC

 We have already set the ball rolling by training PWD in the Northern Cape and
this we can use as stepping stone to assist this minority group.
 A lot of families have been affected by the COVID 19 pandemic and we can do
proposals to the government so that we can offer training to the households
that have lost bread winners so that they can be self sufficient.
 Change in lifestyle- people are opting to eat healthy and this means that
there is more demand for fresh agric produce we can capitilise on this
through a strong marketing drive.
 COVID 19 has also seen a demand for vitamin C produce like citrus which is
something DICLA can look into venturing into. SA is currently the largest
exporter of citrus second to Spain
GEOGRAPHICAL OUTLOOK

 Favorable weather has resulted in increased summer crop planting raising the
prospects of higher harvest. The volatile change in weather should see DICLA
farming in all provinces. The opportunity in the Western Cape should be
utilized as this will see the Vision of World Abundance being fulfilled.
CONCLUSION

 This analysis just proves that there is a lot the company can do for
sustainable agriculture and development. All departments have a hand in
achieving this. Thousands of jobs can be created through DICLA and the GDP
can improve if our efforts are met with strategic partnerships
