differences.
◦ When choosing a topic, make sure the two things you
COMPARE or CONTRAST have some elements in
common.
◦ Example: choose to compare two teachers, two movies,
two movies, two types of transportations, or two
computer programs.
◦ You do not want to compare or contrast the WEATHER in
Toronto with the NIGHTLIFE in Tokyo.
◦ You need to compare or contrast the weather in both cities
or the nightlife in both cities.
◦ You can also compare or contrast two medical professions
like nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
◦ You can also compare or contrast two team sports like
soccer and basketball.
