General Informations
• Robert Downey Junior (RDJ) is an american actor and movie
producer who was an usual kid from manhatan and despite
adversity now is very recognizable and succesed person.
Early Life
• RDJ was born in manhatan in new york city in 1965 as the son of Elsie and Robert
Downey Senior. His mother was dancer, but his father was also actor and
producer. As a son off artists he also start his actor carrer early because in the age
of 5 at his father movies. When he was a teanager he attended Perry House
School in London where he found out his passion to compose. In 1982 he come
back to New York city where he play some funny roles in NBC Saturday Night
Live.
Career Development
• Robert started his career on large screen from role of young rebel and chilled
teanager in movie called ,,The Pick-up Artist’’. Then he palyed young rich addicted
teanager in movie ,,Less than zero” with andrew McCarthy. But the biggest succes
for him was a role in biografic movie abaut Charlie Chaplin, for which he was
nominated to the ,,Golden Gob’’ reward and to the ,,Oscar’’ reward.
Robert’s addiction
• As a child, Downey was addicted from drugs. His father, who was a drug addict,
allowed Downey to use marijuana at age of six. Downey later says that drugs use
to became an emotional connect between him and his father.Later From 1996
through 2001, Downey was arrested few times on charges related to drugs
including cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. He went through drug treatment
programs unsuccessfully, explaining in 1999 to a judge that he knows drugs
destroy him but he acctually like it. Luckily, Robert work out his addiction and
finally stop take drugs.
The Iron Man
In 2007, Downey was cast as the title
character in the film ,,Iron Man’’ The
director of this movie explain that
choice by stating "Downey wasn't the
most obvious choice, but he
understood what makes the character
tick. He found a lot of his own life
experience in 'Tony Stark’. By October
2008, Downey had agreed to played in
two more Iron Man movies, and
in ,,The Avengers’’ movie abaut the
superheros team that Stark joins, based
on Marvel's comic book series called
the same name. Downey played role of
Tony Stark in 7 more movies from the
Marvel universum.
My Favourite Movies
• When i was younger my Dad saw me the ,,Iron Man’’ film and science
that i very like RDJ. Probably because of that i very like whole series
abaut Iron Man and his story in Marvel uniwersum. Like i said erlier i
like all of films with the participation of Tony Stark, but for sure my
favourite one is classic first part of ,,Iron Man’’ because of emotional
connection, and good memoris with this movie.
