The actions of Environmental Education (EA) in
Environmental education.
the scope of the Pomares project aims to spread

the knowledge and conservation of the Atlantic

Forest in 8 rural schools involving educational

processes over 1 year. In each school, the EA

actions are elaborated considering the school

reality, where the planning is done with the

teachers and the direction aiming at a greater

integration with the contents and teaching

proposal of the schools. 3

Orchards
The Atlantic Forest is a biome rich in fruit

species, however, these have not been

assimilated by our modern culture and

many have been forgotten. Rescuing and

promoting the use and richness of these

fruit species provides ecological benefits

translated into the crops and plantations of

these species both for preservation and use.

Forest Restoration
The restoration processes aim to recompose

an impacted ecosystem by fostering the

return of vegetation to a condition closer to

the original. Forest restoration actions are

needed in areas of permanent preservation

for the conservation of water resources,

prioritizing the springs of the communities,

in order to contribute to the environmental

sustainability of the properties, especially

of family agriculture or other partner 5
