Landmarks

A Landmark is a building, a hill, a tree, or something that is familiar and serves


As a guide.

General and Specific Adjectives
General Adjectives - give only a general description of a place.
Examples:
-Beautiful -pretty -Lovely

Specific Adjectives – give a clear and vivid description of a place.


Examples:
- Picturesque -tree-lined -colorful
Antonym – forming Prefixes

 When two or more adjectives may have similar meanings. These adjectives
are Synonyms.
Examples:
-Pretty, beautiful -Small, tiny -Big, huge

 Two or more Adjectives may have opposite meanings. These adjectives


are Antonyms.
Examples:
-Big, small -New, old -Far, near

Some antonyms are formed by simply adding the prefix un-, -im, -in, or
–dis to some adjectives.
-These Prefixes mean NOT.
Examples:
Fit - unfit Tidy - untidy Happy - unhappy
