What is Present Continuous?
The present continuous is frequently used time in English.
It refers to the present.
We use it to describe what is happening during the moment of speaking or
around that time.

Aunt Christine is warming up the car while Scott is looking for his new leather
coat.
They are eating at Scott’s favorite restaurant today, Polly’s Pancake Diner.
Usage:
When something is happening
When somebody is doing around the time of speaking but
something at this moment. not necessarily at that exact

Spelling Tip
1. For verbs that end in e, remove the e and
add ing. slide > sliding, ride > riding
2. For verbs that end in ie, change the ie to y
and add ing.
die > dying, tie > tying
3. For verbs whose last syllable is stressed
and ends with a consonant, double the last
letter before adding ing.
beg > begging, begin > beginning.
