PERSONAL
ITY
What is PERSONALITY?

PERSONALITY is a pattern of relatively

permanent traits, dispositions, or
characteristics that give some measure of
consistency to a person’s behavior.

The term peronality was derived from the

latin word “persona” which means
“Mask”

Individual Personality signifies three

things about human nature. Each human
being is

1. Like everyone else

2. Like somebody else
3. Like no one else
PERSONAL
ITY
What is PERSONALITY?

Personality is enduring, constant and

stable. It has to be something which is
consistently manifested by the person.
These characteristics and traits often
occured repeatedly. Lastly, personality is
unique. It will be useless to use standards
and compare ourselves with someone else.

There are two interplating factors which

contributes to the uniqueness of our
personality. First, blame it to our genes or
heredity. Human beings are have
inherent characteristics and traits.
Physical appearance, biological structure,
physiological functions, and even
intelligence and disorder can be inherited.
We were born with several of our
characteristics.
The WHY of
PERSONALITY
The “Why” of personality refers to the
underlying motivations, thoughts,
and feelings that drive a person’s
behavior. It delves into the reasons
behind why individuals act in certain
ways.
Personality is shaped by combination
of genetic factors, early life
experiences, cultural influences, and
individual choices.
Understanding the “why” of
personality involves exploring the
psychological and emotional drivers
that contribute to an individual’s
unique traits and behaviors.
BEHAVIOR
• Behavior is how individual comes
accross to others in their actions.
• Is situation based. That is to say,
it changes according to the
situation, and in this case is often
influence by an individual’s
current enevironement.
• Behavior is influenced by both
genetic factors (nature) and
environmental factors (nurture).
The interplay between an
individual’s inherent traits and
their experiences shapes the way
they behave.
The WHAT of
BEHAVIOR
• Behavior is the observable actions
and reactions that the individuals
exhibit in various situations. it
encompasses how someone
interacts with others, responds to
challenges, and expresses
themselves.
• Behavior patterns can be
influences by personality traits,
experiences, and environmental
factors.
