SPOTL2IGHT – DEFINITION OF TERMS


• Asst. Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) In-Charge of the CID – is the ASDS
or Chief Education Program Supervisor Officer-In-Charge of the Office of the Asst.
Schools Division Superintendent who is designated by the SDS to lead the
Curriculum Implementation Division.

• CID Chief – is an Education Program Supervisor (EPS) leader who directs and
manages the work of the Curriculum Implementation Division Team (CIDT).

• District Reading Coordinator – is a school head-leader in the area of Reading who
assists the Public School District Supervisor in the implementation of the Division
Reading Program in the Schools District.
• Division Reading Monitoring Teams (DRMTs) – are flexible teams of Education
Program Supervisors (EPSs) and Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs)
created by the Schools Division Superintendent for the purpose of monitoring and
evaluating the implementation of the Division Reading Program.
• Division Reading Program – is a Reading Program crafted by the Division Team of
Reading Focal Persons for the implementation in all schools in the division.

• Division Team of Reading Focal Persons – refers to EPS In-Charge of Kindergarten,
EPS in Filipino, EPS in Elementary English, and EPS in Secondary English.

• Instructional Tools – are instruments used in teaching – learning process such as


localized and contextualized reading materials, assessment tools to gauge
learners’ performance in Reading, and Reading classes monitoring tools.
• Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) – is a process of assessing the status of the
Division Reading Program with the goal of improving its current and future
management of outputs, outcomes and impact.

• Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs) – are DepEd Quezon personnel who
are appointed by the SDS to direct and manage the Division Reading Program –
related works of the school heads within their area of supervision.
• Division Reading Monitoring Teams (DRMTs) – are flexible teams of Education
Program Supervisors (EPSs) and Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs)
created by the Schools Division Superintendent for the purpose of monitoring and
evaluating the implementation of the Division Reading Program.

• Division Reading Program – is a Reading Program crafted by the Division Team of


Reading Focal Persons for the implementation in all schools in the division.

• Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs) – are DepEd Quezon personnel who

• Reading Coordinator – is a teacher-leader in the area of Reading who assists the
School Head in the implementation of the Division Reading Program.
• Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) – is the highest ranking official in the
Schools Division of Quezon and is referred to as Top Management in the Quality
Management System of the division.
• School Heads (SHs) – are school leaders designated as School Principals, Officers-
In-Charge or Teachers-In-Charge whose mandate is to provide direction and
effective management of the school.
