What are Determiners?
Determiners are those words that precede a noun to refer to something
particular/specific.

There are three articles: definite article "the,"
and indefinite articles "a" and "an.”

The definite article "the" refers to a specific


noun, while indefinite articles "a" and "an"
refer to any one of a group of nouns.
Example:
• The parent would like to meet the principal
• The girl bought an applefrom the market
Demonstratives

Demonstratives are used to point out specific
persons, places, or things. The most common
demonstratives are "this," "that," "these," and
"those.”
"This" and "these" refer to things close in distance or
time, while "that" and "those" refer to things farther
away.
Example:
• This book is interesting.
• I want to buy that car.
Possessives

• Possessives indicate ownership or possession of
something.

• They include both pronouns and adjectives.


Common possessive determiners include "my,"
"your," "his," "her," "its," "our," and "their."

Example:
• His car is parked outside.
• Our house needs renovation.
Cardinals & Ordinals

• Cardinals show the number. These are ordinary
numbers like one, two, or three.
• The words that show the positions in a series are
called ordinals.
• These include, first, second.
Example:
• There were only five girls.
• She was the first person who
came to my rescue.
Quantifiers

• Quantifiers express the amount or quantity of
something.

• They can be used with countable or


uncountable nouns. Common quantifiers
include "some," "any," "many," "much," "few,"
"several," "each," "every," "all," "none," and
