NOUNS
• A noun names something-persons, places, things, events, phenomena, emotions, etc.
Kinds of Nouns
• Proper nouns-names of specific persons, things and places.
• Common nouns-refer to any one of a class of persons, places or things
• Count nouns-nouns that can be counted and quantified using numbers
• Non-count nouns-nouns that cannot be counted and quantified using measurements mass
