Nestlé and was launched in Brazil in 1932 under the name Nescáo (the fusion of the words Nestlé and Cacáo).

In 1954, the name changed to Nescau, because people read the high pitch “´” as "ão“. The slogan was “Nescau, fortifica, alimenta e engorda”. In 1960, the brand underwent changes and its product had more vitamin. The slogan changes again, now for “Nescau, gostoso como uma tarde no circo”. In 1972, the Nescau slogan became very famous "Super Nescau, energia que dá gosto".

In the 1990s, Nescau joins with the radical sports, sponsoring major events.

In 2007, the brand celebrates 75 years! In celebration of the anniversary, Nescau launched a innovative design on the tin.
