Netflix is a big company with a worth of 272.67


billion USD. It became highly popular in 2020 when
the period of quarantine and COVID took place, and
new films tend to take time until they are validated
for uploading.
YouTube

Reaching up to billions of users that are into the


genre of horror on the YouTube platform, it is easier
to publish as it is free but it also wasn’t a good
platform if we wanted to have a big audience. The
YouTube channel “Gulf English School Media”.
Share and Distribution

Rating the film in terms of age as 16+ as it is a


typical horror film rating unless there are vulgar
scenes they would be rated R or 18+, this will give
us the producers more audiences and we will also
have a wider range of picking in distribution
channels

Demographics
My group and I have chosen to target an audience
from the ages of 16 to 24 as we conducted research
and found that they are mostly the age groups that
watch horror films the most. This age group also
tends to be in a lower working class or they just
work part-time. Also choosing this age group makes
us guarantee that the audience will be able to
consume media texts.
Psychographics We have also chosen to target
reformers and explorers for our
product and young men and women
are mostly within this psychographics.
Loyal Customers
For us to target a loyal batch of customers we
had to first make the film entertaining. After
doing that we have seen the results in targeting
a niche yet active audience where they agree
with our ideas and stereotypes. However, a
passive audience will not give any feedback
like the loyal and active customers we have
targeted.
Engaging with the audience
Engaging with the audience was a rather
difficult objective, but meeting it was easy as
having an active audience partially gives us
an advantage. My group and I found students
from our school and we asked for feedback
about it. As we expected feedback was given
to a bunch of questions we asked.
