THE CONCEPT The Vision And Mission Of Developing Green Cities In
OF GREEN CITY General

The mission of the green city is actually not just greening the
city. More than that, a green city with a broader and
comprehensive vision, which is an environmentally friendly
city

Has a mission, among others, to utilize effectively and

efficiently water and energy resources, reduce waste,
implement an integrated transportation system, ensure
environmental health, and synergize the natural and man-made
environment, based on urban planning and design in favor of
the principles of sustainable development both
environmentally , social and economic balance
Green open space is an area whose use is more
open, a place to grow plants, both natural and
deliberately planted

Areas with low green open space tend to be in coastal areas,

hence require trees suitable for the beach environment

The principle that we must apply is

 Minimize adverse effects.
 Build an environment and culture of awareness and respect.
 Providing a positive experience for visitors and residents.
 Provides direct financial benefits for conservation.
 Providing financial benefits and empowerment for the local community.
 Increase sensitivity to be environmentally friendly, and social climate.

existence of green open space

2. Manado's population density is not directly proportional to

the presence of sufficient green open space

3. There are still many uses of fuel-powered vehicles to make

Manado still need to improve the quality of the air

4. Almost all parts of the city of Manado meet the needs of

green open space except the sario, wenang and tuminting
