 TYPES AND USES OF CEANING TOOLS, EQUIPMENT,
SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS
CLEANING TOOLS
- devices that can be used to achieve a task, but not consumed
in the process
 SUPPLIES & MATERIALS
- devises which is consumable in achieving the task.
 EQUIPMENTS
-are big devises used in cleaning to achieve a specific
task which is sometimes electrical operated.
CLEANING TOOLS
• Broom
- is a cleaning tool used for sweeping dirt and dust
from the floor. It is made of bundle of straws or twigs
attached to a long handle.
CLEANING TOOLS
• Dustpan
- is used to scoop the dirt and wastes on the floor.
• Bucket
-- is used to hold water or any liquid solution used in
cleaning.
COBWEBBER
-It is also used for reaching and cleaning stairwells,
ceiling corners and other high areas.
• Water Hose
-are flexible tubes designed to carry fluids from one
location to another. Hoses sometimes called pipes.
• Hand Brushes
- used for brushing away dust and dirt from rough
surfaces.
MOP WITH A HANDLE
- used for manual floor mopping and wiping off
dust and dirt from the floor.
• CLEANING TOWEL
- used for drying bathroom sinks, walls, and floor
tiles after cleaning.
• POLISHING CLOTH
- used for polishing metal surfaces, such as
kitchen and bathroom fixtures.
• DUSTING CLOTH
- used for dusting wooden and painted furniture
parts.
• SCOURING PAD
- used for scouring or scrubbing a surface and
cleaning painted surfaces, marble, and porcelain.
• TOILET BOWL BRUSH
- used for cleaning the upper area and inside of
the toilet and around the bowl.
• FLOOR AND WNDOW SQUEEGEES
- used for removing excess water from the floor and
its corner and pushing it into the drain, while a window
squeegee is used for removing the cleaning fluid or
solution from a glass surface.
• TRASH BAGS
- used to line the inside of the garbage containers
so that wet garbage does not penetrate into the
corners or surfaces of the bin.
• OILER
- used for preventing squeaking noises of doors.
• SPONGE
- is a tool/cleaning aid consisting of soft, porous
material used in bathing, in wiping and cleaning fine
surfaces.
• INSECT SPRAYER
- is a device used for spraying liquid in fumigating
and eliminating insects in different areas of the house
or establishment.
