Introduction

 Affiliate marketing is a performance-

based marketing strategy where
businesses (merchants) collaborate
with individuals or other businesses
(affiliates) to promote their products or
services.
 Affiliates earn a commission for each
sale or action generated through their
marketing efforts.
How Does Affiliate Marketing Works
Affiliate marketing operates on a simple yet effective model that involves multiple
stakeholders working together..

There are three primary stakeholders in affiliate marketing:

1.Merchant or advertiser: The merchant is the business or brand that
offers products or services. They create an affiliate program and provide
promotional materials, tracking tools, and commission structures.

2.Affiliate or publisher: Affiliates are individuals or businesses that

promote the merchant's products or services on their platforms. They
drive traffic and generate leads or sales through their marketing efforts.

3.Customer: The customer is the end-user who clicks on the affiliate's

promotional content and completes a desired action, such as making a
purchase or filling out a form.

There are different commission structures commonly used in affiliate marketing:

1.Pay-per-sale (PPS): Affiliates earn a percentage of the sale value when a customer makes a purchase through
their referral link.

2.Pay-per-lead (PPL): Affiliates receive a commission when a referred customer completes a specific action, such
as filling out a form or signing up for a trial.

3.Pay-per-click (PPC): Affiliates earn a commission for each click generated through their promotional links,
regardless of customer actions.

4.Tiered or Multi-tiered: Affiliates earn commissions not only for their own referred customers but also for
customers referred by other affiliates they recruit into the program.
