Introduction to Poultry Farming.
Poultry farming is the rearing of chickens or
fowls for egg and meat production.

Poultry farming has a long history, dating back over

2,000 years. It was practiced in ancient civilizations like
the Romans, Greeks, and Egyptians.

Layer feeds are the most common type of
feed given to egg-laying hens. These feeds
contain about 16% protein and extra
calcium to support egg production

to the market for meat purposes.

also suffer from nutritional deficiency diseases
