MANAGEMENT
Waste management is the process
of collecting, treating,recycling,
and disposing of different waste
materials in proper segregations
WHAT IS WASTE?
Is defined as any
substance, debris ,
leftovers that was
produced during
agricultural works.
*Ecological Solid Waste Management Act
of 2000 (RA 9003)

An act providing for an ecological solid waste


management program creating the
necessary institutional mechanisms and
incentives declaring certain acts prohibited
and providing penalties appropriating
funds, therefore, and other purposes.
TYPES OF AGRICULTURAL WASTE
Biodegradable

Wastes that can be decompose and use as soil


enhancer (fertilizer)
Ex. Grass cuttings, dried leaves, twigs and egg shells

Non-biodegradable
Wastes that can be turned into landfill or can be
used for other purpose
Ex. Bottles, wires, Styrofoam's, galloons
Hazardous waste

These are wastes that are dangerous to health for


it may cause injury, death and illness.
Ex. Broken glasses , chemical wastes, insecticides, syringe

Non-hazardous waste

These are wastes that do not gives threat on ones life.

Ex. Kitchen wastes, dried leaves, grass cuttings
