What is a Nation-State

● An organizational structure in which people who have a similar


identity live inside a country with defined boundaries and a
single government.
● Influences the language we speak, what laws we obey, and
what festivals we celebrate.
● System of Political, geographic, and cultural organization.
Nation

● A nation is a large group of people who inhabit a specific


territory and are connected by history, culture, or another
commonality.
State

● A community of people occupying a definite portion teritory
