NATOTION and STATE

Nation
– is a group of people with the common
language, history, culture, and (usually)
geographic territory.
State
- Is an association of people characterized
by the formal institutions of government
including laws, permanent territorial
boundaries and sovereignty (political
independence).
Nation- Homogeneous group of people with a
shared identity connected by their cultural and
ethnical ties rather than legal structures. In a
Nation, membership is often based on cultural
or ethic affiliations. Nation are often rooted in
cultural, and historical factors.

Similarities- Common identity, Geographical


presence, Government structure, Cultural
affiliates, Historical ties, & Population presence.

State- A Political and administrative with
a government, recognized international
law and diplomacy. Citizenship is tied to
the State, and more flexible in terms of
borders and governance structure.
