INTRODUCTION

It is the method of an education tour


and is organized for a group to
have first hand information through
direct observation about place
objects.
DEFINATION

Field trip is an educational procedure by


which the learners obtain first hand
information by observing places,
objects phenomena and procedure in
their natural setting.
PURPOSE
To provide real life situations for the
first hand information.
To supplement classroom instruction to
secure definite information for specific
lessons.
To verify previous information ,class
discussion and conclusion of individual
experiments.
GUIDELINESS

 The field trip must be planned to meet specific


educational objectives rather than mearly a picnic
activity.
 Plan field trip with a specific checklist
( permission,transport, booking ,saftey and
emergency arrangement .)
 Plan a schedule and route plan for the field
trip .identify leaders and sub leaders.
 Assign responsibility and make them understand
their role.

Have list of all candidates, contact


number of people to be contacted in case
of emergency and special needs.
Submit repot on field visit and analyse.
 To serve as a mean to develop positive
attitude valves and special skiils.
ADVANTAGES:

 Field trips provide accurate information about the

object, and system in their real setting.


 It provides meaningful direct experience and result in

lasting learning.
 Student remebers the field trip because they learn

using different methodology.

class room learning through application
and review of field experience of student.
Help to utilizing all sense for learning.

Field trip are expensive.


Saftey and security of the student is
real concern.

Field trip is a planned and supervised visit


of a group of students outside the class
room to get the first hand educational
experience. Field trip is an educational
