CLOSING THOUGHTS…

• Throughout researching the different camps for children and young adults battling cancer I found it
very touching the number of camps who are supported by organizations that are non-profit volunteers
putting these opportunities together so that these camps can be free, that takes a lot of the financial
stress off these families
• I was shocked to see that these camps run just the same as any other camp would the only major
difference, I noticed was the emphasis on a strong medical team of professionals who are there to
support campers with cancer
• From the little to no costs and medical team readily available to assess and provide medications to
campers, these camps are very inclusive to individuals affected by cancer and allow them the
opportunity to live like kids while still getting their routine medical attention in a much better
environment outside of their usual hospital visits
