Thank you to all of our volunteers and providers for all your
help last quarter! We are extremely grateful to everyone as our
Health Fair could not have been as successful as it was without
our collaborators and providers. Thank you to: The City of
Westminster, Westminster Civic Center, Community Service
Commission (CSC), Western University Vietnamese Student
Association, Cal State University Long Beach Nursing Student
Association, NAPAFASA, Healing Hands for Humanity,
CalOptima, Southland Integrated, Dr. Hanh Bui, Dr. Bao-Khanh
Nguyen, SVOSH at SCCO, Every Woman Counts, Regional
Center of Orange County, Orange County Health Care Agency,
and Saving Hearts Foundation.

Spring 2019 Health Fair at Westminster Civic Center

For our Spring Health Fair, our 52 volunteers were pleased to serve over 160 patients. Through our
collaborations with providers, VCH was able to provide screenings such as vision, glucose,
cholesterol, hemoglobin and many more services to help alleviate some of the health disparities
within the Vietnamese and Hispanic communities. We would not have been able to achieve this level
of success without the support of our providers and compassion of our volunteers.

 SPRING QUARTER RECAP
Health Sites Shower of Hope
Asian Garden Mall Los Angeles

This quarter, our volunteers were

able to serve over 70 patients at
Asian Garden Mall in Westminster.
Through our 5 successful health sites
during weeks 1, 2, 3, and 7, we were
able to offer basic health screenings
such as hypertension, vision, and
BMI to our service recipients.
VCH collaborated with the Shower of
Hope to provide mobile showers and
serve meals to the homeless
population in the Greater Los
Angeles area.
