Volunteer of the Week - Blanca Henriquez
“The reason I joined was because I heard from a
friend that Spanish translators were needed for
events such as the health fair. I am a native Spanish
speaker and know what it's like to need a translator
and how much I use to appreciate those people.
Now I get to help others the same way I was once
helped. I love that VCH does events such as the
health fair because knowledge is power especially
when it comes to your health. They all left with more
knowledge about their health than what they first
came in with. My favorite part of the health fair was
getting to talk to people and help out and translate
things to people who only spoke Spanish.”
