BIBLE VERSE

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon

me because He has anointed
me.”
Luke 4:8
There is a special person who
has touched our lives and who
has inspired us to appreciate
ourselves. They encourage us to
become good examples to others
by showing we care and are
willing to serve them.
Path 19: The
Holy Spirit
Helps Us to
Serve
Miracles are ways of God’s power
of love and mercy.
God has shown this in
several instances to reveal
His message for His people.

He was always there to beg for alms.

That day, he asked for alms from
Peter and John. Peter and John
looked at him and said, “Look at us.”
The cure of a Crippled Beggar

The crippled man thinking that he

would receive alms, looked at them.
Peter said, “I have neither silver nor
gold, but what I have, I give you: In
the name of Jesus Christ, rise and
walk.”

Church Teachings
CFC 473: “To know Jesus means being
committed to following Him, being His
disciples. Knowing Jesus must make a
difference in our lives. It must
accompany the loving service of others
in living faith. Expressing our faith
through deeds of justice of love is
particularly urgent in the Philippines.”
Christian Message
Jesus said that He came to serve
and not to be served. He showed
this through His examples and
teachings. He came not to rule
and dominate but to serve.
Christian Message
At the Last Supper, He taught
the apostles to love and serve
one another by washing their
feet. He encouraged them to do
the same for one another.
Christian Message
The Holy Spirit works in two
ways:
1. Those who preached are given
the courage to say the truth.
2. Those who listened are given
wisdom to understand.
Christian Message
In the Church, we have
different workers.
They are called
MINISTRIES.
Christian Message
MINISTRY means to
work or to serve
others.
Christian Message
We can all receive the Holy
Spirit. We can be a part of the
ministry. By our good works
and good examples, we are
sharing in the work of Jesus.
Christian Message
By helping our poor brothers and
sisters, we are ministering to them.
A helpful child who willingly extends a
helping hand to his family, friends,
and other people in the community is
giving service to the people of God-
the Church.
Christian Message
The Holy Spirit gives us gifts
that enable us to do service to
others. Let us allow Him to work
in us and let the Holy Spirit
blow where He wills.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, guide us to serve
You in the person of the poor.
Inspire us to share our time,
treasure, and talents to
whomever we meet. Make us
generous and helpful always.
Amen.
