ABSTRACT:
This Project “HOSTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” is designed for better interaction between
students,hostel owners/management .
It integrates the transaction management of the Hostel for better control and timely
response. This eliminates time delay and paper transactions .
The warden is provided with a better control over the transactions like adding the details
of new students in the hostel, modifying the details of the students, deleting the details,
viewing the students details in the Hostel.
This project’s main motto is to reduce the effort of Wardens and provide better service to
the students.
INTRODUCTION:
This document is intended to minimize human work and make hostel allocation an easier
job for students and hostel authorities by providing online application for hostel,
automatically select the students from the waiting list , complaint registration, noticeboard,
etc.
This application also assists hostel residents in submitting a leave request by completing a
form.
LITERATURE SURVEY-I:
The existing system is manual based and need lot of efforts and consume much time.
In the existing system we can apply for the hostels online but the allotment processes are done
manually.
It may lead to corruptions in the allocation process as well as hostel fee calculation.
The existing system does not deals with mess calculation and complaint , review registration and
there are no reminders alert for the day to day activities
DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM :-
• Low security
• Difficult to handle large amount of data.
• Difficult to update data.
• Record keeping is difficult.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:
This system will provide full information about a student in the hostel and is already
existing in the top IIT’S and NIT’s.
It will display the availability of rooms and the corresponding number of occupants in each room.
There will also be an administrator module which will accessed by the administrator and has the option to delete,add
and edit hosteller records.
• STEP-2: Hosteller/Management should register , with their respective institution MAIL ID.
• STEP-4: On clicking the specified tab you will get the information.

Conclusion
Our project “HOSTEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” is very helpful and very useful for managing
the hostel better.
The scope of this project is that all the hostel managing works can be done easily through it
by saving our time and also by saving thehuman efforts.
This management system will be an errorless or bugs free management system and will be
able to show the records of even years without any confliction.
This project is small package which includes different categories as well as having all possible
features.
In future we will improve security by providing a card to permanent students for automatic
check in and check out.
