important instrument in monitoring
salinity of water for cultured aquatic
animals ensuring optimal conditions
for various aquatic species.
It will help to maintain proper

• Prism – place for water sample.
• Daylight Plate/Diffuser Cover- use to cover water

• Calibration Screw/Calibration Screw Cap- adjustable
screw that allows the refractometer to calibrate.
• Rubber Grip – handle made of rubber to prevent from
sliding.
• Eyepiece- look through the scale of the sampled water
• Focus Adjustment – it allows to adjust the focus until
scale can be seen clearly.
