 explain the uses of each parts;
 manipulate the refractometer correctly.

IV – PRESENTATION
A. Engagement – What are the different water parameters?
What is the importance of these parameters?
B. Exploration – Group Activity 1- Students will be grouped into 4. Group 1 and 2 will
connect the clippings and Group 3 and 4 will identify the parts drawn in the
clippings.
C. Explanation – Teacher and student will have interaction about the topic
presented.
D. Elaboration – Group Activity 2- Group 1 & 2 will be using 1 refractometer to read
the salinity of water while Group 3 & 4 will use another refractometer at the same
time. Proper handling should be observed.
E. Evaluation – True or False
____1. Refractometer is use to measure salinity/alkalinity of water.
____2. Cover plate is found on top of the prism.
____3. Grip or handle of the refractometer is made of rubber.
____4. To see clearly the calibration of the readings, the user should face the
source of light.
