Emergency Response Team

under the Operations and Warning Section is a 24/7
response team trained to provide assistance in search
and rescue, trauma incidents and basic medical care.
Uses vital equipment and emergency vehicles to safely
transport victim/patient from the scene of the incident to
a hospital to receive further medical care.
EACH TEAM IS COMPOSED OF 4
PERSONNEL
• 1 TEAM LEADER (TL)

• 1 EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATOR

• 2 TREATMENT CREWS/RESPONDERS
 TEAM LEADER

 Ensure the safety of himself and its crew;

 Make sure that everyone wears proper PPE;
 Note all needed details/data to Pre-Hospital
Patient Care Report (PPCR) based on the assessment
of the treatment crew/responders;
 Make an advance call to the hospital prior to
victim/patient transport; and
 Call for additional resources if needed
 EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATOR
 Inspection of the ambulance before each
shift.
 Assisting patients onto stretcher and loading
them into the ambulance.
 Driving an ambulance as quickly and safely as
possible to transport victims/patients to the
hospital.
 Sanitizing the ambulance and safely disposal
of any medical waste.
 TREATMENT CREWS
 Quick and efficient assessment of victim/patient
condition and report to Team Leader.
 Provide emergency medical assistance such as
monitoring vital signs, wound treatment, and care
management
 Transport/load the patient safely in an ambulance.
 Providing first aid or administering oxygen if the
patient requires care before reaching the hospital.
 Inventory of medical supplies and DRRM equipment
after every run.

manlift truck when trimming high branches.

 Determine the safe and danger zone.

 Barricade the danger zone using tagline within the
radius of the tree falling zone.
